Regarding the activity of the steel-demanding sectors, in the construction sector, cement shipments in November fell 3% compared to October and a drop of 15% compared to the same month of the previous year.
In the automotive sector, production in November registered an increase of 2.4% compared to October and a decrease of 5.1% compared to the same month last year. Comparing the eleven months of 2024 with respect to 2023, a decrease of 18.3% was recorded.
On the other hand, patents decreased by 20% compared to October and 2% compared to the same month of the previous year, accumulating a decrease of 9% so far this year.
Meanwhile, the agricultural machinery and implements sector continues with good prospects for the wheat harvest, first results show a higher yield than the previous season. Dispatch levels to geographic areas of energy activity remain stable, with favorable expectations for 2025.
