A new year began and the national government has already made the holiday calendar for 2025 official. This is made up of immovable, transferable holidays and non-working days, which give rise to long weekends.

Holidays are set by Law 27,399also called Establishments for holidays and long weekends. In detail, April and May will be the months with the most days of rest – with three each in total – and, for its part, February will not have any holidays.
Holiday calendar 2025: one by one, all the days that are not worked
After confirmation from the Government, workers can find out all the rest days they will have in 2025 to organize activities and trips in advance. There will be a total of 20 days between non-working days, immutable holidays and transferable holidays.. Thus, the month-by-month calendar looked like this:

What is the difference between a permanent holiday and non-working days?
In total, this year there will be 3 long non-working days throughout the year. The main difference is that the Non-working days are dates where rest is at the discretion of the employerand if you have to work, you are not charged double as happens on holidays. Jan the case of the National Public Administrationthese days will be considered holidays and it is not expected that there will be administrative, educational or banking activity, among others.
