The Air Class qualification was classified by the Government as “a new milestone in Argentine commercial aviation”. It will be valid for 15 years and will begin to operate at the Ezeiza International Airport.
Air Class is the first new company enabled, but not the first to compete with Intercargo. Previously, the Government allowed operators that provided cargo service themselves, such as Flybondi and American Airlines.
What is the deregulation of airport ramp service like?
On November 8, the Government established the deregulation of the ramp service at airports after a strong conflict with the workers of the state company Intercago, who demanded salary improvements.
The measure was notified through the resolution 49/2024published in the Official Gazette through the Ministry of Transportation.
