The Progresar Scholarshipsmanaged by the National Social Security Administration (ANSES)became a fundamental pillar for thousands of young Argentines seeking to continue and complete their studies. This program, which began in 2014, has the main objective of promoting equal educational opportunities, ensuring that the most vulnerable sectors can access formal education at all levels.
The Progress program It is aimed at young people between 16 and 24 years old (extended up to 35 years of age for people with dependent children or in the case of tertiary or university studies). The scholarships are designed to financially support students at different educational levels, from the completion of compulsory level to higher education.

Who can access the Progresar Scholarships

Requirements to access the Progresar Scholarships
In order to access the Scholarships you must meet a series of requirements:
- The family group’s income must not exceed three Minimum Living and Mobile Wages (SMVM).
- They must prove regular attendance at an educational institution.
- Comply with the academic advances required by each line of scholarship.
- Be a native or naturalized Argentine, or a foreigner with legal residence for two years in the country.
- Be between 16 and 24 years old and meet the academic and vaccination requirements.
- If it is for a Progresar Superior Scholarship: Be studying courses at national universities, higher technical education institutes, among others. Be a secondary school graduate, have no outstanding subjects and have a maximum age of 30 years (except for nursing students).
Amount of the ANSES Progresar Scholarships in January 2025
Currently the Progresar Scholarships are currently worth $35,000 per person. This amount was made official in August 2024 and has not yet been modified.
