The Progresar Scholarshipsadministered by the National Social Security Administration (ANSES)are a key program of the Argentine government to guarantee access to education and promote equal opportunities.
The Progresar Scholarships are a monthly financial aid program aimed at young people between 16 and 30 years old who wish to start or complete their studies. The main objective of this benefit is to reduce school dropouts, promote educational inclusion and prepare students to enter the labor market.
At the moment ANSES has already announced when the collection date for the month of January will be and what amount the beneficiaries of this educational program will receive.
The new requirement to collect the Progresar Scholarships
The new requirement lies in the value of the minimum wage allowed:
- From December 1, 2024: $279,718 for monthly workers with full legal hours ($9,718 more than the previous amount) and $1,399 per hour for daily workers.
- From January 1, 2025: $286,711 for monthly workers and $1,434 per hour for daily workers.
- From February 1, 2025: $292,446 for monthly workers and $1,462 per hour for daily workers.
- From March 1, 2025: $296,832 for monthly workers and $1,484 per hour for daily workers.
All the requirements of the ANSES Progresar Scholarships
Scholarship requirements may change based on the program that each person needs to access:
Mandatory level
The sum of the income of the student and his family group must not exceed 3 Minimum, Living and Mobile Wages (SMVM), except that the young applicants are holders of a non-contributory disability pension granted within the framework of article 9 of the Law 13478.
Higher Level
The sum of the student’s income and that of his family group must not exceed 3 Minimum, Living and Mobile Wages (SMVM), except that the young applicants are holders of a non-contributory disability pension granted within the framework of article 9 of Law 13478.
Progress Work
The sum of the applicant’s income must not exceed three (3) Minimum, Living and Mobile Wages (SMVM).
Amount of the Progresar Scholarships in January 2025
The amount of the Progresar Scholarships for January will be $35,000same value established since August of last year. These types of decisions correspond to the Ministry of Human Capital, in charge of the program.
To confirm whether the scholarship is approved or not, you must enter the Progresar platform or the Mi Argentina app with your CUIL and password. In the section “My Payments”the system will inform if there are pending payments.
