Bayern rolled over Ilzer’s Hoffenheim, two Grüll goals for Bremen

The record champions overwhelmed coach Christian Ilzer’s struggling TSG Hoffenheim 5-0 on Wednesday and are still four points ahead of defending champions Bayer Leverkusen in the table. RB Leipzig lost 2-1 at VfB Stuttgart after leading at half-time. Marco Grüll scored a brace for Werder Bremen in their 3-3 home draw against Heidenheim.

Hoffenheim didn’t have a chance in Munich’s Allianz Arena and were already 3-0 down after 25 minutes. Leroy Sane sank the ball into the far corner after an assist from Thomas Müller (7th). Raphael Guerreiro scored after a one-two with Harry Kane (12th), Kane himself scored with a Hands penalty (26th). After the break, Sane (48th) and Serge Gnabry (66th) were allowed to net again, Hoffenheim had nothing to counter them. ÖFB team player Alexander Prass came on as a substitute for the losers in the 41st minute, Konrad Laimer was on the bench for Bayern.
