Dynamo Dresden has to pay a fine of 119,100 euros
Dynamo Dresden and penalties from the DFB – it never ends. This time the third division football team has to pay a six-figure sum.
Third division team Dynamo Dresden has to pay a fine of 119,100 euros following a ruling by the sports court of the German Football Association (DFB). The court punished two cases of unsportsmanlike behavior by the club’s supporters. Dynamo can use 39,700 euros for security or violence prevention measures. The Saxons have already agreed to the verdict, making it legally binding.
Before and during the DFB Cup game against Darmstadt 98 on October 30, 2024, Dresden spectators lit at least 220 Bengal fires in addition to 40 blinkers and shot off numerous pyrotechnic objects from two fireworks batteries.
Dynamo Dresden fans throw lighters and cups
The game had to be stopped twice for a total of five minutes due to smoke. In addition, a lighter and a cup were thrown from the Dresden spectator area into the interior during added time.
