The government of Javier Milei congratulated Donald Trump after his inauguration as president of the United States and wished him “the best in his second term”. In turn, he ratified that starting from this new chapter, the commitment of Argentina’s alignment with the North American country “will continue and deepen.”

The Argentine president was present during the inauguration ceremony of his American counterpart, whom he praised repeatedly. In this regard, he was grateful “for having been a guest of honor at the presidential inauguration in the Washington DC Capitol, along with other world leaders.” Also attending the event were the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni; to the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán; the ruler from El Salvador, Nayib Bukele.


Through a statement published by the Office of the Presidentthe Government highlighted: “During his first administration, Trump was a global example in the fight against political caste, he demonstrated the positive effects of reducing taxes and eliminating regulations, and “promoted peace in the world”.
Along these lines, he trusted that “the Free World adds a strong leader” and remarked: “With the determination to protect the values of the West, and joins the cultural battle that, from the Argentine Republic, we have been waging.”
The text concluded: “Since December 10, 2023, this Government has adopted a clear position, aligning itself with the United States of America, a commitment that will continue and deepen in this new stage. May the Forces of Heaven be with us.”
