The measure, formalized through resolution 11/2025 published in the Official Gazette, represents a key step for the Argentine agro -export sector and reinforces its position in the global food market.

The Government announced the assignment of the beef export quota to the United States for the 2025 period, which totalizes 19,123,754 tons. This contingent, destined for fresh cuts, refrigerated or frozen without bone, will be in force between January 1 and December 31, 2025.

The measure, formalized through resolution 11/2025 published in the Official Gazette, represents a key step for the Argentine agro -export sector and reinforces its position in the global food market.

Of the 20,000 tons assigned by the United States, 19,123,754 were distributed among refrigerators and enabled joint projects, While the remaining 876,246 tons were allocated to the Fund of Free Availability. This fund allows exporters to access additional volumes, provided they comply with previously assigned fees.

The distribution scheme is based on the same criteria used for the Hilton quota, aimed at the European Union, with the aim of guaranteeing a fair and transparent distribution among the actors in the sector.

Companies enabled to export

Authorized companies to operate within this quota must be registered in the Single Registry of Operators of the Agroindustrial Chain (RUCA) and comply with current regulations. The enabled categories are:

  • Industry: 24 companies.
  • Joint projects: 18 companies.
  • New Applicants: 16 companies.

In total, 58 applicants requested export licenses under this contingent tariff, reflecting the interest and competitiveness of the sector in the US market.
