FC Bayern meets Celtic Glasgow – Dortmund on Sporting Lisbon
Bayern Munich plays in the fight for the round of 16 of the Champions League against Celtic, Dortmund meets Sporting Lisbon. Manchester City is spared Bayern until further notice.
FC Bayern has to run against Celtic Glasgow in the playoff round of the Champions League-the football cracker against Manchester City with the former Munich master coach Pep Guardiola does not occur. The currently heavily weakening English series master has to compete against defending champion Real Madrid.
Bavaria and Manchester, of all people, gave Guardiola’s former favorite player Thiago Alcántara (33), who had won their last title in the European master class 2020 with the Bayern. For Borussia Dortmund, the Spaniard Sporting Lisbon pulled as an opponent. The games of the new playoff round for the teams from the places nine to 24 will be played on 11th and 12th and 18th and 19th February.

“I know Celtic for a long time. I played Champions League myself. It is a special atmosphere. Anyone who was in Celtic Park knows it’s a special place. And that will not underestimate Celtic,” said Bayern’s coach Vincent Kompany before the Said. “The atmosphere at Celtic is amazing,” goalkeeper Manuel Neuer emphasized. Bayern are still unbeaten against the Scots in the master class.
In the next round, either the German champion Bayer 04 Leverkusen or Atlético Madrid would be waiting for the Munich. The opponent of the Borussians would then be either OSC Lille from France or Aston Villa. Like FC Liverpool and FC Arsenal, the four teams also qualified from the Premier League, FC Barcelona under the former Bavaria and national coach Hansi Flick from the Primera División and Inter Milan directly for the top 16.
VfB Stuttgart and RB Leipzig had not survived the new group phase with 36 teams from the Bundesliga.
