Suel Nogueira
Bodybuilding world champion dies at the age of 40
In bodybuilding, athletes seem a lot to their body, even through illegal substances. However, world champion Suel Nogueira tragically died in a traffic accident.
Suel Nogueira was traveling with his motorcycle in the Brazilian city of Curitiba last Wednesday when a truck slowed down in front of him. According to media reports, the 40-year-old noticed this too late and raced into the rear of the truck at high speed.
In the hard impact, he landed under the vehicle. Loud helpers and emergency doctors tried to revive Nogueira for 40 minutes. But the athlete then succumbed to his serious injuries on his way to the hospital.
Bodybuilding scene mourns the loss of Nogueira
The bodybuilding world is now mourning for him, because the Brazilian was known in the scene. He won a total of 25 national and international titles, including one of the World Fitness Federation (WFF).
For many people, Nogueira was an inspiration, according to media reports about the accident. Especially in Brazil, he saw him as a model for being able to change everything with willpower and training. Accordingly, he himself weighed almost 120 kilograms as a bodybuilder and suffered from obesity. Then he decided to change everything and developed a love of extreme sports on stage.
Condolate statements on social networks
A few months ago, the Brazilian showed himself gratefully “for those who give me the opportunity to show who I really am, to always strive to be a better person”. Nogueira was proud of his success: “Today, at 39, I collected 25 titles in this sport and am, among other things, world champion,” he wrote.
The expressions of condolences are now increasing on social media after his death. “We will miss you, eternal teacher,” commented one user. And another wrote: “May Jesus receive you with open arms.”
