Mendoza forms the Mining Council for greater transparency and control in the sector

According to the law, the Mining Council It must be composed of:

  • 1 titular counselor and 1 substitute for lawyer;
  • 1 titular counselor and 1 substitute with title of engineer in mines, geologist or engineer with proven mining experience or with a degree of grade and at least five years of experience in the area;
  • 1 titular counselor and 1 substitute, representing business chambers and other entities linked to mining in the province.

What are the requirements to form the Council

From the Ministry they reported that the members of the Council must be Argentine citizens with a minimum residence of two years in Mendoza and must meet suitability requirements.

Those people who maintain delinquent debts, lack free disposition of goods or have judicial records or are disqualification to occupy public office, may not be part of the Council.
