After the Istanbul city derby between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, José Mourinho is in focus again. Now the “Fener” coach takes a counter strike.

The twist between José Mourinho and Galatasaray after the Istanbul derby does not want to end. Via Portal X, Fenerbahçes Star coach announced that he would sue the arch-rival because of the attack on his personal rights. Previously, Mourinho from the Turkish Football Association had been blocked for four games because, according to the association, he had derived derogatory in the derby on Monday (0-0).

It is about “moral compensation,” said the communication distributed by Fenerbahçe. Accordingly, Mourinho demands 1.907 million Turkish Lira, the equivalent of around 50,000 euros. The amount is likely to be a symbolic nature and allude to Fenerbahçe on the founding year 1907.

Association punishes Mourinho for derogatory statements

According to its own statements, the association punished derogatory and insulting statements as well as unsportsmanlike behavior of Mourinhos. The 62 -year -old Portuguese also has to pay a fine of around 42,000 euros, as it was said.

After the derby in the league, Mourinho had said at the press conference that the opposing substitute players jumped around “like monkeys” after a controversial situation.

Mourinho’s statement was embedded in a general criticism of the achievements of Turkish referees, whose appearance the coach has been questioned for a long time. As a result, the youngest Istanbul city derby was led by Slavko Vincic from Slovenia.

According to Mourinhos, Galatasaray had announced that the European Football Union UEFA and the FIFA World Association officially file a complaint. Mourinhos Club Fenerbahçe rejected the allegations.
