New: Opel Corsa Electric 2024: fitter than ever

New: Opel Corsa Electric 2024: fitter than ever

Opel refreshes its electric Corsa – with more power, a new look and some changed design details.

The most striking are the changes in the facelift on the front of the Corsa Electric, because here the Opel gets the dark brand face. At the rear, the small car now bears its Corsa name lettering in a bold and self-confident manner, as was introduced on the 40-year anniversary model. Inside, drivers and passengers in the new model generation look at a display with Qualcomm technology and a ten-inch display. More important to the customer, however, is the performance increase and the increase in electric range thanks to the modified battery pack.

In future, the Corsa driver will have the choice of whether to opt for the smaller version with the well-known 100 kW / 136 hp engine and a range of almost 360 kilometers or the larger version with 115 kW / 156 hp / 260 Nm of torque travels up to 400 kilometers before going to the next charging station. On the other hand, little has changed in terms of charging speed as a result of the facelift, because recharging from 20 to 80 percent still takes around half an hour.

“With a sharp design, top technologies from higher classes and new, locally emission-free electric and hybrid technology, we want to inspire customers again and show them what they can expect from a small car today,” says Opel CEO Florian Huettl. Even those who don’t fancy a purely electric drive will get their money’s worth with the Opel Corsa. The versions with 74 kW / 100 hp and 100 kW / 136 hp have a 48-volt electrical system and dual-clutch transmission.
