European car sales fell 17% in November

In November 2021, 864,119 new cars were sold in the European market, which is 17.5% less than in the same month last year. This is reported by the European Association of Automobile Manufacturers (ACEA).

In total, according to the results of 11 months of 2021, car sales in Europe amounted to 10 million 824 thousand 670 units (+ 0.8%). The largest number of cars in the European Union was sold by Volkswagen – 77 655 cars (-36.5%).

Renault is in the second month with 53 959 vehicles (–21.3%). The third place is occupied by Peugeot with 52,681 cars (-20.3%). The five leaders are closed by Mercedes-Benz (52 541 units, -24.9%) and Toyota (51 950 units, -9.3%).

On October 26, it was reported that in Russia for the III quarter of 2021, the number of official car dealerships decreased by 39.

So, if in July 2021 in our country there were 3182 official dealerships for the sale and maintenance of passenger cars, then in October there were 3143. In total, 101 dealer contracts were terminated in the third quarter of this year, and 62 new ones were concluded.
