Vinicius Jr.front of real Madrid and the Brazilian team, was recognized as the best male soccer player of 2024 at the prestigious Globe Soccer Awardsheld in Dubai. The award comes just 10 days after the athlete won the The Best the best player of the season.
In addition to this award, the 24-year-old player won the award for best striker of the year which consolidated him as one of the most prominent figures in international football. The event took place at the imposing Atlantis Hotel and marked the 15th edition of these awards, which recognize the most outstanding talents in sports.
This is the first time that Vinícius has received the award for best footballer, joining a list of big names who have been honored in previous years, such as Cristiano Ronaldowho attended the gala and is the player with the most Globe Soccer trophies in this category: he has a total of six conquests in the years 2011, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Ronaldo’s presence was especially significant for Vinícius, who considers him a source of inspiration in his career: “My idol is Christian. It is an honor to have heard those words. If Cristiano says it, I believe it,” declared Vinícius after receiving praise from the Portuguese star during his speech at the event.
