The domestic furnishing giant had already taken over 80.9 percent of Home24 shares in mid-December. The remaining shareholders were able to offer their shares up until December 28th. XXXLutz plans to take Home24 off the stock exchange after the takeover. But before that, the cartel authorities still have to give the green light. The German online retailer has recently suffered from falling sales and has been in the red in recent quarters. Home24 itself only took over the household goods chain Butlers in spring 2022.
