Roncalli founder Bernhard Paul first studied structural and civil engineering, then graphics. He has worked for a magazine and an advertising agency. At the age of 28 he gave up his job and became a ringmaster – the beginning of a success story.
Mr. Paul, why have you now published your autobiography?
You never know what’s coming. And during the Corona period we were not allowed to perform for two years. It was like a professional ban. So I had time for something else.
Did you find writing easy?
It was a molt, a therapy. Themes crept out of my soul that I had long since suppressed. It is a difficult process to describe your life.
The title “My Journey to the Rainbow” sounds like a farewell. Is that it?
My journey is not over yet. For at the foot of the rainbow there is treasure buried. I’m still looking for him. I’m actually still waiting for something.
