The Ministry of Agrarian Development, in a statement, indicated that they are currently 67 municipalities that are included in the emergency declared by the Provincial Executive, which establishes that “those producers who have seen their production or production capacity affected between 50% and 79%, will be considered in a state of Agricultural Emergency and will receive an extension of the payment of the Rural Real Estate Tax”.

It was also reported that “Those who have seen their production or production capacity affected between 80% and 100% will enter the category of Agricultural Disaster and will be exempted from paying the Rural Tax”.

Meanwhile, the Law also provides for the suspension of tax foreclosures up to 180 days after the end of the emergency period.

In addition, given the homologation of the emergency at the national level, producers affected by the drought can access benefits such as: deduction of profits from the forced sale of animals; deferrals of maturities of tax obligations; reductions for affected monotributistas; and the suspension of the start of fiscal executions.

Similarly, The provincial government made available different lines of financing to mitigate the impact of the climate emergency that affected these regions, aimed mainly at small and medium-sized producers.

In addition to what is established in the Emergency Law, Banco Provincia has already granted more than 2,400 million pesos in loans with special rates to victims.

In this sense, the new credit lines cover farms of up to 500 hectares and have a maximum amount of 10 million pesos, have a term of up to 36 months and a fixed rate of 47% per year with a 6-month grace period.

It was detailed that Bapro, through the regional Junín and surroundings, was the one that demanded the most financing, with a total of 874 million pesos.

For its part, the regional Chivilcoy, with scope to neighboring districts, granted lines of financing for 479 million and the regional Pehuajó, 348 million pesos.

In addition, The Buenos Aires Ministry of Agrarian Development offered a Non-Refundable Contribution for Family Farming in the face of adverse climatic events that grants amounts of up to $200,000, destined to the repair of damaged infrastructure, the acquisition of productive inputs to restart the production cycle and the replacement of dead or affected animals.

Also, a Financing Line for Extreme Weather Events with amounts of up to $1,500,000 and a 35% rate for restarting the production cycle, and another Financing for Emergency Prevention and Mitigation.

At the moment, $158 million were delivered through the Agrarian Fund to producers and agricultural producers affected by the drought, it was reported from the portfolio directed by Javier Rodríguez.
