Telecommunications: Deutsche Telekom intends to achieve even more operational growth this year

At Deutsche Telekom, total revenue increased by 6.1 percent to EUR 114.4 billion compared to 2021. The company has a specific goal for 2023.

Deutsche Telekom wants to earn even more this year. The Dax group announced that operating profit including leasing costs should increase by four percent to almost 41 billion euros in the current year.

Among other things, the group had parted with its Dutch business last year and sold the radio tower subsidiary GD Towers, which is why Telekom uses a pro forma value from the previous year as a basis. On this basis, the free inflow of funds should climb by at least 40 percent from 11.2 billion euros to more than 16 billion euros.

Last year, Deutsche Telekom increased its consolidated revenue by 6.1 percent year-on-year to around EUR 114.4 billion. Adjusted for special effects, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization including leasing costs rose by 7.7 percent to 40.2 billion euros. The Management Board thus achieved its own goal, and Telekom also developed better than analysts had expected. The bottom line is that the Telekom group earned around eight billion euros after just under 4.2 billion euros in the previous year.
