The defense electronics manufacturer Hensoldt expects the first orders from the “Bundeswehr Special Fund” to continue in the current year. In addition, the group should continue to benefit from the expected higher arms spending worldwide, which was primarily triggered by the Russian attack on Ukraine.
The company, which is listed on the SDax, confirmed the forecasts for the current year and medium-term targets that had only been increased in December when it announced the most important key data for the past year. Sales are expected to increase by between 7 and 10 percent in the current year.
Driven by a major order, revenue increased by 16 percent to just over 1.7 billion euros last year, Hensoldt announced in Taufkirchen. The operating profit rose by twelve percent to 292 million euros.
Higher military spending is playing into the hands of the company. For example, the federal government launched the special fund worth 100 billion euros to better equip the Bundeswehr after the Russian attack on Ukraine.
