Dubious consultants are trying to get privately insured people to get cheaper health insurance rates. There is a system behind it – and seldom good advice. The insured often even pay more later. How they can really lower their contributions.
At first glance, everything seems so serious: “Hello, I’m from the Association of Private Health Insurance Companies,” said a voice on the phone, “it turned out during a check that the premium you paid is too high.” The caller then offers that he can help reduce the monthly health insurance premium by several hundred euros. It only takes him 15 minutes. Many privately insured people have received such calls in the past few weeks and months. Especially since the private health insurance companies started sending out their notices again at the end of the year, in which they often announced larger increases in contributions.
