The DGI inspectors detected in the silo of the establishment 930 tons of corn and 281 tons of soybeans whose income had not been declared, for which they proceeded to interdict that merchandise, valued at 72 million pesos.
On the other hand, they verified shortages of grains in the oil production plant, which is located on the same property, for 853 tons of corn and 5,832 tons of soybeans. In this case, it was about raw materials whose purchase had been reported, but not their sale. The omission of this operation would amount to 550 million pesos.
As a result of these actions carried out by the agency’s staff led by Carlos Castagneto, it was verified that the amount involved in the fraudulent maneuvers amounts to 622 million pesos. The specialized areas of the AFIP will initiate investigations to determine and demand the payment of the omitted taxes.
The objective of these procedures is to discourage irregularities that generate tax damage and that prevent guaranteeing the traceability of the grains used for agro-industrial activity.
