The Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, met this tuesday in washington with the president of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)the brazilian Ilan Goldfajn. The goal was plan the disbursement schedule of credits of the first semester, which will begin tomorrowreported official sources.
At the middle of Marchby participating in Panama in the IDB Assembly, The minister said that “in 2023 we aspire to exceed the rate of disbursements and we are negotiating a series of additional credit lines, perhaps the most important with the IDB, related to the drought.” The details of the schedule and the content of the disbursements would be released by the multilateral entity this Wednesday.
During the IDB Annual Assembly, Massa and Goldfajn agreed to work to strengthen coordination with the new bank authorities, the development and incorporation of new portfolios that the country has with the entity. In that opportunity, both signed the financing of three new programs for Argentina with an investment of 235 million dollars.
In that opportunity, Massa and Goldfajn also discussed the importance of development banks for the implementation of strategic projects that allow greater economic and social development in the region. During 2022, IDB disbursements to Argentina exceeded 5,000 million dollars.
