Times were easier for Upper Austria’s economy: increased interest rates, high inflation and cautious customers are burdening many sectors. It is therefore all the more important not to get discouraged. Numerous local companies show how innovative strength and adaptability can be successful even in difficult times. Some of them will therefore be awarded the Pegasus Business Prize on June 1st in Linz’s Brucknerhaus, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year under the motto “New Paths”.

It is awarded by the OÖN and its partners – Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich, the state, the Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Austrian Industry and KPMG – as well as last year’s winners and the emeritus economics professor Friedrich Schneider. By April 14, more than 180 applications had been received from across the state. Pre-selection was difficult. These 40 nominees who are in the race for the Pegasus trophies have particularly stood out. Trophies are awarded to the top three in each category.

The Chamber of Commerce is again awarding the special prize in the category “Entrepreneur/Manager of the Year” this year.
