The wage index registered an increase of 11% in July compared to the previous monthabove the 6.3% increase that marked inflation in that period, reported today the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec).
The average recorded during the seventh month of the year occurred after the salaries of registered private workers marked an increase of 10.8%; 13.3% in the case of public administration employees and 7% for unregistered workers.
In this way, in the first seven months of the year, the income of private workers increased 63.2%; in the public sector 70.2%, and in the informal sector 50.9%.
These last numbers show that Between January and July the index on average marked an advance of 63.5%compared to an inflation of 60.2%.
While, In the last 12 months the salary index marked an improvement of 119.5%, above the 113.4% inflation verified in a similar period.
This percentage arises from the fact that the salaries of public employees had an improvement of 133.8% in that period; 120.7% among registered private workers; and 89.5% in the informal sector.
