The Potsdam Administrative Court has set the course for the protest camp at the Tesla factory to remain in place for the time being. The police don’t want to let that happen.
The Brandenburg police have lodged a complaint against the court decision in favor of the protest camp against US car manufacturer Tesla in Grünheide near Berlin. Interior Minister Michael Stübgen (CDU) said this. The task of the assembly authority is to protect freedom of assembly, but also to ensure that no one is put in danger.
That’s why the police filed a complaint against the decision of the Potsdam Administrative Court on Tuesday before the Berlin-Brandenburg Higher Administrative Court. The Ministry of the Environment, the Building Authority and the Forestry Authority would now have to justify possible dangers in detail. The Higher Administrative Court confirmed receipt of the complaint.
The administrative court had granted an urgent application by the forest occupiers against imposed conditions. This means that the protest camp can initially remain in the state forest near Tesla with several tree houses.
