The National Institute of Statistics and Census updated food prices in its latest report.
The INDEC published the Consumer Price Index (CPI) corresponding to the last survey of values carried out in June 2024. According to this official data, chicken had a slight increase of 0.2%, remaining almost at the same value as last month. According to the INDEC CPI, a kg of whole chicken cost $2,602.27 in supermarkets in June 2024, while in May it was listed at $2,598.08.

According to the report, the price of food in general rose by 3%, while the monthly increase in meat and meat products was 1.5% in Greater Buenos Aires.
