A major union kicked off the month of August by celebrating the signing of a new collective bargaining agreement which will take the basic salary of a group of workers above one million pesos. In the last week, the Pastry Chefs Union headed by Luis Hlebowicz signed with the Association of Alfajores and Related Manufacturers the salary review for workers in the alfajores branch of the union.
In the understanding, accumulated increases were established for the months of August and September. In the collective bargaining agreement, a 6% increase was set in August in the basic salary of all the agreement categories. The percentage, it was clarified, will be calculated on the basic salaries of June 2024.
For the ninth month of the year, meanwhile, the percentage of increase will be the same, 6%which will be calculated on the bases of August 2024.

According to the salary scales published by the union, a teacher Alfajoro without seniority will receive $6,335.12 per hour in August, while a production and/or maintenance worker will earn $4,939.26 per hour.
As for basic monthly salaries, a administrative manager will earn at least $1,007,407 in August; an accounting assistant, $915,276; an administrative employee, $885,317; a delivery driver-collector, $934,753; an assistant driver and a night watchman, $857,523.
