“With the aim of reducing the cost of living for Argentines, We have reduced the transfer fee to 1%, and there will no longer be a charge for issuing vehicle identification cards, titles, license plates, or the certification of up to two signatures. As a result, more than $36 billion pesos a year are returned to the pockets of Argentines.“, the Ministry of Justice said in a statement.

He also announced the creation of the Single Digital File (LDU), which involves the digitalization of the files of the Motor Vehicle Registries and means a monthly saving for the State of 1.3 billion pesos per month in mail transfer costs. The minister pointed out that “in the 21st century it is unheard of that the entire process is done on paper, with the costs and transfer time that this implies.”
Finally, he indicated that “a maximum limit has been established for the profits that those in charge of vehicle registrations can earn” and that “this is one more step towards ending the registration racket.”
