The summit took place at the Convention Center of the provincial capital from 9:30 and brought together Ministers of Security and officials from the area from all over Argentina, who discussed issues related to security problems. provinces with border crossings, security strategies, complex crimes and searching for people, among others.
The Federal Security Council met in Salta

Later, they moved to the Salta Convention Center to preside over the federal meeting, in which they signed a collaboration agreement to implement the Federal Plan for Chemical Precursor Operators and another to coordinate actions in the area of surveillance and control in the area of international borders.
“They represent another step in the joint work of Salta and the Nation in the fight against drug crime.” said Sáenz. He added: “Our location makes us not only a territorial border, but also a barrier to Argentina’s containment of drug trafficking and other forms of organized crime.” He also considered that it is an urgent need “that circumstances make unavoidable” to have the headquarters of all national security forces in Salta.

He assured that: “We will not allow criminal organizations to intimidate us in order to obtain their impunity, or to influence or penetrate our institutions. There is no place for criminals, nor for those who are not willing to confront them.” At this point he mentioned the recent detection of a conspiratorial plan against the Chief Prosecutor of the Province, the Attorney General.
He said that the implementation of key measures with concrete results that produced the creation of the Special Investigation Unit of the North in Orán, as well as the Fiscal Unit for Litigation Against Organized Crime of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, “clearly bothered criminals and organized crime.”

For her part, the Minister of Security pointed out key aspects of the federal agenda and highlighted the role of the Security Council. “in a joint effort to work and delve into issues that contribute to greater and better security for Argentines.”
He added that Salta is a strategic province in the fight against drug trafficking, in the protection of borders, and in the protection actions that must be undertaken against drug crime and drug terrorism.
“Being here has a special meaning because it is a province where we have to be strong. Along with Misiones and Corrientes, Salta is the province with the most federal forces in the country, precisely because of this characteristic of teamwork with the Nation, to prevent the entry of cocaine from neighboring countries,” the minister said.
He also spoke about the strong work being done to reduce homicides in the country, “this is fundamental because when homicides decrease, violence in society decreases and, consequently, we achieve a better level of coexistence. We are working on a homicide observatory, a program in which all provinces are invited to participate.”
