Previous non-remunerative sums will now be integrated into the basic salary. This change is the result of the latest joint agreement of the Argentine Federation of Commerce and Services Employees.
According to this agreement, the fixed sums that were awarded in January and February 2024 will be added from the September settlement, which will be paid at the beginning of October.
The new extra amount will be incorporated into the basic salary in a phased manner over the next three months, adding to the salaries for September, October and November 2024 in equal and consecutive installments.

In addition, joint negotiations have already begun between the FAECyS and the sector chambers to establish a new salary increase for the rest of 2024.

The integration of non-remunerative sums into the basic salary of Commerce employees will be carried out in three equal and consecutive installments over the coming months. The increase will be given as follows:
- First installment: September 2024 (to be settled at the beginning of October)

- Third installment: November 2024 (to be settled at the beginning of December)
Commercial employees with a raise in October 2024: how are salaries
The objective of this system of integrating the extra sums paid by employers into the remunerative salary is to gradually adjust the basic salary.
For example, workers in the Maestranza A category, who currently have a basic salary of $441,108, received two non-remunerative sums: $88,222 in January and $77,635 in February.

These sums, which total $165,857, will be added to the basic salary in three equal installments of $55,285 each. Thus, the basic monthly salary will be adjusted as follows:
- Basic September 2024: $496,393.67
- October 2024 basic: $551,679.34
- November 2024 basic: $606,965.01
Since the non-remunerative sums incorporated now were paid in January and February, the extras paid in April and June 2024 still need to be added, which must also be considered in the calculation of the basic salary.
Regarding the joint negotiations, this September the FAECyS and the sector chambers will meet again to review the current agreement and define the new salary updates.
