Hollywood star Reese Witherspoon’s youngest son, Tennessee, is celebrating his twelfth birthday – and everyone is posting sweet photos of him.
Reese Witherspoon (48) celebrates her son Tennessee James’ twelfth birthday on Friday (September 27th). The Hollywood star also shares a sentimental post to her youngest. The boy comes from her relationship with her ex-husband Jim Toth. Witherspoon and Toth filed for divorce in March 2023 after twelve years of marriage and reached an agreement a few months later in August 2023, as People magazine writes.
In the birthday post, Witherspoon shared a sweet mother-son photo of herself and Tennessee smiling for the camera at a restaurant. In the photo, the actress, wearing a black top with a rust red cardigan over it, puts an arm around her son, who is posing in a blue shirt with a white floral pattern.
“Happy 12th birthday to my wonderful son Tenn!” Witherspoon captioned the photo. “I’m so lucky to have your happy, curious, funny spirit in my life that makes me laugh every day. I love you, buddy.”

Witherspoon’s daughter Ava Phillippe, 25, whom she shares with her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, 50, also wished the 12-year-old a happy birthday in her Instagram Stories.
She shared a photo of herself and Tennessee as toddlers walking along a boardwalk by a body of water together. She wrote about the snapshot: “Unbelievable that my once tiny baby brother…” The next photo continues with “… is now twelve years old & will soon be as tall as me.” The black and white photo shows the two back to back comparing sizes – where she looks slightly annoyed and he looks very proud. To enhance the impression, Phillippe placed a gold crown on Tennessee’s head.
“Happy birthday to this quick-witted, funny, curious and thoughtful guy who I’m lucky enough to call my little brother,” she added lovingly. The third picture of the birthday photos shows your younger Tennessee with a big smile and a small disco ball in his hand.

Witherspoon’s other son, Deacon Phillippe, 20, who she also shares with Ryan, also congratulated his brother with three pictures on his Instagram Stories. In the first, Tennessee is blissfully eating a waffle with a scoop of ice cream on top. “What happens after 12,” is Deacon’s comment.
In the second photo, the big brother hugs the little brother from behind. “I love this kid,” he comments. Deacon also shared a funny photo of the little one wearing large glasses while sitting in the passenger seat of a car. A crown emoji has also been added here.
