Excelerate Energy announced the publication of his Sustainability Report 2023which highlights the company’s global activities and initiatives, in environmental matters, integrity, promotion of diversity and social inclusion and the results obtained during the 2023 calendar year.

The report, titled “Waves of Change: Embarking on a Sustainable Future”, highlights the role of Excelerate in solving global energy challenges, making available the LNG (liquefied natural gas) to more people in need around the world, while minimizing the environmental impact of its operations, prioritizing safety and building lasting relationships in the communities where it operates.

Highlights from Excelerate’s 2023 Sustainability Report:
- Greater transparency through incremental environmental disclosures that underscore our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and responsible use of resources.
- Increased focus on social data related to onshore and offshore workers, with particular emphasis on the “duty of care” for all employees.
- Achieving significant safety milestonesincluding exceeding 5 million hours worked without incidents resulting in lost time.
- Implementation of a Supply Chain Code of Conductshowcasing Excelerate’s focus on maintaining a sustainable supply chain.

Excelerate and its commitment to education in Argentina
In Argentina, Excelerate continues its collaboration with two non-profit organizations focused on education and environmental care: Read Foundationan organization that promotes literacy for at-risk children; and Green Helmetswhich offers free college education to people with disabilities.

In 2023, the company supported the training of 17 environmental educators from Cascos Verdes, who in turn helped raise environmental awareness among the company’s collaborators and more than 455 people.
In return, Excelerate workers shared knowledge with educators about interview skills and CV writing. In September, company volunteers also collected garbage and recyclable objects from a beach in the Buenos Aires town of San Isidro.

Donations to Read FoundationMeanwhile, they supported 23 literacy programs and 100 training sessions during the year, reaching approximately 2,000 students.

As detailed by the company, Excelerate’s 2023 sustainability report has been prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards –Core option-, and is aligned with the standards of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
