He Comprehensive Medical Care Program (PAMI) continues to provide support to its members with mobility limitations through a series of services designed to improve their well-being. Notable aid includes free delivery of portable toiletsdesigned to facilitate personal hygiene for those who spend a lot of time in bed due to their health.
Starting in November 2024, PAMI members can access these devices, along with other important items such as anti-decubitus mattresses and trapezoids. These resources are aimed at increasing comfort, reducing the risk of medical complications, and promoting independence for beneficiaries who need them.
Another very important benefit that goes hand in hand with the toilet and anti-decubitus mattresses is that retirees and pensioners can also access free adult diapers.

Documents to access the PAMI portable toilet in November
To access the portable toilet, you must present the following documentation:
- Electronic medical order: issued by the primary doctor or a specialist.
- National Identity Document (DNI): to verify the identity of the member.
- Manual or electronic order: from GP or specialist, if necessary.
- Medical history summary: including the member’s weight and height, to ensure that the equipment correctly fits their needs.
Step by step to order the PAMI portable toilet

Manage electronic medical order: The primary care physician or specialist must issue an electronic medical order through the PAMI system.

Prepare the necessary documentation: Gather all the required papers: the electronic medical order, the member’s ID, and, if applicable, a manual order and a medical report that includes data such as the patient’s weight and height.

Complete the process online: If you have Internet access, you can complete the procedure from the PAMI web portal, which will allow you to save time and avoid transfers.

Request an appointment at the PAMI office: If it is not possible to use the digital platform, you will be able to request an appointment at the nearest PAMI offices. There you will present the documentation and manage the application in person.

Reception of portable toilet: After approval of the procedure, the portable toilet will be sent to the member’s home at no cost.
