Through a video published on X (formerly Twitter), they noted: “We are going to repeal the Front Labeling Law. It is a bad law, excessively paternalistic that does not serve, it does not inform you. Because If everything has a seal, it is as if nothing had a seal. This is the State treating the consumer not only as a child, but like a half-idiot child.”

What does the project presented by the PRO deputies say?
“The objective of the project is the restoration of the freedom of food producers and consumersthrough the repeal of the Front Labeling Regime Law No. 27,642, whose objectives are met more effectively with the regulations already in force in the Food Code in relation to labeling, marketing and information“, they noted in the project.
In that sense, they indicated that “From an economic or financial point of view, the project has no fiscal cost, requiring no source of financing.”
And they concluded: “The universe of potential beneficiaries covers to producers, exporters, importers and marketers of the foods covered by Law No. 27,642, and its consumers”.
