The second tariff round in the collective bargaining for employees of the federal government and municipalities ended without approach. The DBB union announces further warning strikes.
The citizens in Schleswig-Holstein have to prepare for further warning strikes in the public service tariff dispute. The second collective bargaining round for more than 2.5 million employees of the federal government and municipalities remained without approach yesterday, the employers did not provide any offer. The DBB in Schleswig-Holstein announced that the previous actions had not made employers to rethink and steer. “So it has to be replaced significantly.”
In the northernmost state, there will therefore be “noticeable warning strikes and actions” in the coming weeks. As a preliminary highlight, a nationwide campaign day is scheduled on March 6, which is connected to warning strikes in several departments of the municipalities and the federal government as well as with a central rally in Kiel. However, there will also be warning strikes in various departments beforehand. For example, the Federal Motor Transport Authority in Flensburg will be affected on March 4.
Verdi and the DBB negotiate with the federal government and the municipalities about income and working hours of more than 2.5 million employees nationwide. These work not only in administration, but also in daycare centers, at schools and universities, in local transport, waste companies or at airports. Firefighters and federal police officers are also included.
The unions want to enforce a wage increase of eight percent, but at least 350 euros per month. Employers have not submitted a offer in the two rounds of negotiations so far.
