The Park Live Festival is a major event that spans a month. This year, the music event has been announced for June 17 – July 16, 2022 and the line-up so far is impressive. Among others: My Chemical Romance, Placebo, Gorillaz, Deftones, Iggy Pop, Five Finger Death Punch, Slipknot and Limp Bizkit will perform. The festival in Moscow has already lost a main act with The Killers. A representative of the group told the news portal “TMZ” that the rock band is canceling the festival for itself.
Concert cancellations in Russia: Green Day is also not performing
But The Killers aren’t the only ones in the music industry who are drawing clear boundaries for themselves in the current situation. The band Green Day has also decided to cancel their May 29 concert at Moscow’s Spartak Stadium due to the Ukraine war, the band announced on Sunday.
“It is with a heavy heart, given the current events, that we feel it necessary to cancel our upcoming show at Moscow’s Spartak Stadium,” the band said in a statement to Variety. “We are aware that this moment is not about stadium rock shows, it’s much bigger than that.
