Leonardo Dicaprio described the new movie Martin Scorsese, Killers Of The Flower Moonlike a “masterpiece”.
DiCaprio stars with robert deniro the film, which details the real-life murders of Osage natives in the 1920s in Oklahoma, where oil deposits were discovered.
Jacqueline Westthe film’s costume designer, who also worked with DiCaprio on The Revenantrecently recalled a conversation he had with the actor about Scorsese’s film.
In declarations to the portal Deadline, said: “I was talking to Leo about it. We had lunch before coming here. He said, ‘Jackie, I think we’re working on a masterpiece.’ I thought Leo say that, it was something. He doesn’t say that lightly. He’s been in the business since he was a little boy.”
The film has a reported budget of over $200 million, making it Scorsese’s most expensive project to date. Despite previous speculation that the film would find a home in Netflix, Killers Of The Flower Moon is scheduled to be released by AppleTV+.
De Niro plays powerful rancher William Hale, while DiCaprio plays his nephew, Ernest Burkhart. The rest of the cast includes lilly gladstone, Jesse Plemons, brendan fraser and country music stars Jason Isbel and sturgill simpson.
Jack White he is also part of the cast, but like the other musicians in the film, he will not be playing music.
The film is an adaptation of the true crime thriller by david grann of the same name.
Manzana has yet to announce an official release date for the film. Production began at the end of April 2021, but the release was delayed several times.
