US actress Christina Ricci (43) revealed on a talk show what brutal methods she experienced at the beginning of her career: A production company threatened to sue her when she refused to shoot a certain sex scene.
“I will not show myself naked”
The younger generation of actors, , is much more confident than they were then: “It’s great to see that nowadays they don’t have to go through what I went through. They can say no, they can say I’m not going to do this sex scene turn, I will not show myself naked.”
The younger actresses, Ricci continues, are able to set boundaries that she never would have been able to set before: “Someone once threatened to sue me because I didn’t want to shoot a certain sex scene. That has really changed.”
Ricci, who became a star as a child through films such as “Mermaids Kiss Better” and “Addams Family”, can currently be seen in the US series “Yellowjackets”.
