Nina Bott: Announcing her engagement was not planned

Actress Nina Bott (45) is engaged. Annett Möller (44) spoke to her in the issue of Saturday (May 6) about the sparkling ring on her finger. “Is that an engagement ring?” the presenter asked, which Bott confirmed after a moment’s hesitation. After the two women hugged, Bott said, “I don’t want to know what’s going to happen when I get home.”

According to Bott, it was not planned that the engagement with her partner Benjamin Baarz (35) would be an issue on TV, as she explained on Instagram on Saturday. “Not only was it not planned that way, but to be honest, I had explicitly asked not to bring up the subject […] Because my ‘fiancé’ and I have really enjoyed that it’s been private so far,” she wrote in a story, among other things.

The day after, she also addressed her followers in another story: “I’m really sorry, I would have liked to have told you that myself, even if it had felt right to me. I’m kind of a person with that I was a bit taken by surprise, I found that rather so average and I was personally disappointed. But it’s true, we are engaged and have been since October.” She wrote that she was not resentful and that the topic was now over for her. “But maybe I’ll be a bit more careful in the future…”

In the “Gala” magazine, the 45-year-old explained that the couple was “not really that far along in planning” when it came to the wedding. “I didn’t expect it at all and it’s not something I had on my to-do list.” But of course it’s great when you have four children and three together, “then it’s actually the logical step”.

Bott has been in a relationship with her fiancé since 2012, together they have the children Lobo (born 2021), Lio (born 2019) and Luna (born 2015). Son Lennox (19) comes from a previous relationship with Bott.
