Country star Blake Shelton is now firmly established in Hollywood. The 46-year-old singer unveiled his star on the Walk of Fame. It is the 2755th plaque on the famous sidewalk in the heart of Hollywood.
Receiving this award was really “shocking,” said the musician from the US state of Oklahoma. Although he always dreamed of hearing his songs on the radio, he never expected to make it this far. He wanted to dedicate this star to his brother Richie, said Shelton. He died in a car accident in 1990 when Blake was 14.
Guest speakers at the ceremony included Adam Levine (44), frontman of the US band Maroon 5, and singer Gwen Stefani (53). Her husband really deserves this award, she is so proud of him, said Stefani.
The former No Doubt frontwoman and the country star met as coaches on the US talent show “The Voice”. They have been a couple since 2015 and married in 2021 at Shelton’s Oklahoma estate. Stefani has three sons from a previous marriage to rock musician Gavin Rossdale. Shelton was previously married twice, until 2015, to country singer Miranda Lambert.
The multi-award-winning country giant is known for hits like “Lonely Tonight”, “Sure Be Cool If You Did”, “All About Tonight” and “God’s Country”. In 2017, the US magazine “People” named him the “Sexiest Man Alive”.
