Kate Winslet: mother-daughter performance at the BAFTA Awards

Actress Kate Winslet arrived at the BAFTA TV Awards with her daughter Mia. The duo starred together in the series “I am Ruth”.

She cried tears of joy over the award, but above all she was proud of her daughter: Actress Kate Winslet (47) was awarded Best Actress for her performance in “I am Ruth” at the BAFTA TV Awards. In the series she plays alongside her daughter Mia Threapleton (22).

“I would give half the award to my daughter”

“If I could, I would break the award in half and give the other half to my daughter,” Winslet said in her acceptance speech. “We did this together, kid!” The mother-daughter duo arrived at the awards ceremony in a perfectly coordinated look: both wore a black halter top, hair up, and chandelier earrings.

Mia is Winslet’s eldest daughter from her marriage to director Jim Threapleton (49), to whom she was married from 1998 to 2001.

The BBC show “The Traitors”, the Netflix production “Dahmer” and Ben Wishaw (42) as best actor also received awards at the BAFTA TV Awards.
