Megan Fox (37) apparently has trouble “loving” her body. “I have dysmorphophobia. I never see myself the way others see me”, . She is one of the stars to grace this year’s swimwear issue of the magazine.
“There was never a point in my life where I loved my body, ever,” Fox explained. The actress added that she is on an “endless journey” to love herself. She also revealed that she has always been critical of her image and has had a “conscious awareness” and “obsession” with her body since she was a child. But her upbringing had nothing to do with it. Fox said she “grew up in a very religious environment where bodies weren’t even recognized.”
“A lot of uncertainties”
The “Transformers” star had already spoken about body dysmorphic disorder, which was released in October 2021. At the time, Fox said she struggled with “a lot of deep insecurities” about her body image. The actress explained that she feels beauty doesn’t equate to confidence: “We might look at someone and think, ‘This person is so beautiful. Their life must be so simple.'” But they most likely don’t feel that way about themselves herself, says the actress.
