Although this film is in development, people close to the project add that the door is also open for it to appear in the next installment of fast & furious, which is also under development. The sources also add that this untitled movie is not a sequel or spin-off of hobbs&shaw, but its own separate film. The film is based on a script by longtime Fast & Furious collaborator, Chris Morgan.
