The news that Robert De Niro became a father again at the age of 79 caused a stir. Now he’s taking a baby break.
Two months after the birth of their daughter, actor Robert De Niro (79) and his girlfriend Tiffany Chen came to the opening of the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. They had already taken a baby break in May and attended a party in Cannes.
He in a suit, she in a cocktail dress
On Wednesday evening (June 7) they walked the red carpet in New York and posed for the photographers, with Tiffany Chen looking serious at the cameras. De Niro, who co-founded the film festival, wore a loose-fitting suit and polo shirt that night. Tiffany Chen, who is 45, chose a black cocktail dress and beige cardigan.
It is the couple’s second appearance since the birth of their daughter Gia Virginia on April 6. In May, they enjoyed an evening party together as part of the Cannes Film Festival. They celebrated on May 20 with De Niro’s colleague Leonardo DiCaprio (48) and director Martin Scorsese (80). Just a few days earlier, they had surprised the world with the news of renewed offspring for 79-year-old De Niro.
Seven children by four women
Gia Virginia, whose eldest sister is 51 years her senior, is De Niro’s seventh child. He has children Drena, 51, and Raphael, 46, with ex-wife Diahnne Abbott, 78. He shares twins Aaron and Julian (27) with his former girlfriend Toukie Smith (70). Ex-wife number two, Grace Hightower (68), has son Elliott (25) and daughter Helen (11).
Tribeca Film Festival lasts twelve days
It is the 22nd edition of the Tribeca Film Festival. The twelve-day event opened with the film “Kiss The Future”. Other stars attended, such as Matt Damon and Brendan Fraser. There will be many film screenings, discussions and concerts over the next few days. Around 130,000 visitors are expected.
