June brings new impetus to the “Singing with a View” campaign jointly initiated by the OÖ Nachrichten and the Upper Austria Choir Association. Four dates in picturesque locations are on the program for free singing with professional accompaniment.
On Sunday at 4 p.m., under the guidance of Evelyn Haselmayr, canons, folk songs and pop songs will be sung in the arena near Piberstein Castle in a relaxed atmosphere. Hikers can walk from the center of the municipality of Helfenberg to the castle (about 30 minutes). On Wednesday, June 21, at 5:30 p.m., there will be singing with a view at the Almsee in Grünau. Meeting point is the parking lot at the Seehaus, Hubert Tröbinger is the leader.
On June 25th (3.30 p.m.) the Hollerberg, municipality of Auberg in the Mühlviertel, is the scene of singing under the rousing guidance of Marina Schacherl. She is accompanied on the guitar by her husband Roman. At 5 p.m. the choir of the 7th grade of the Musikgymnasium Stifterstraße Linz will give a short concert in the church.
The literature garden in St. Florian near Linz will be sung about on June 30, 7 p.m. Here, too, the Schacherls set the musical tone. Admission to all events is free and catering is provided.
A song book for the campaign has been printed in the OÖN Edition by Trauner. It can be purchased at the events for five euros.
