Emergency responders found Perry lifeless in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home on Saturday, the Los Angeles Times reported. Fellow actors reacted with shock to the news.
A police spokesman told the AFP news agency that the police were notified at 4:10 p.m. (local time). It was the death of a “man in his 50s,” said the spokesman, without confirming Perry’s name. A fire department spokesman said firefighters had been called to a “water emergency.” However, he did not want to confirm that Perry drowned.
According to the LA Times and celebrity website TMZ, which first reported Perry’s death, there were no signs of foul play.

Perry rose to fame in the 1990s for his role as Chandler Bing in the globally popular television series “Friends.” “Friends” was filmed from 1994 to 2004 and won numerous awards.
