Instead of a normal podcast episode, listeners on “Golden Gossip Girl” heard beef between Désirée Nick and Verona Pooth. Pooth said she had to go to the toilet – but she didn’t return to the microphone.
It was supposed to be a normal podcast episode. Désirée Nick invited Verona Pooth to her podcast “Golden Gossip Girl”. But then there is a scandal, which is discussed right at the beginning of the episode.
At the beginning, a sentence from Verona Pooth can be heard five times: “So, now I have to for little girls.”
If you continue to listen to the almost 24-minute podcast episode, you will learn: It is her only sentence. Instead, Nick gives insights into the background of the seemingly bizarre argument.
Zoff in the podcast between Désirée Nick and Verona Pooth
Pooth is said to have found Nick’s intro too long. And that’s why she sneaked away before the actual conversation began. In his usual manner, Nick wasn’t exactly squeamish with her either, saying something like: “My guest showed what’s possible when you can make of yourself whatever you want without any expertise.” She later teased: “In the end, you’ll be an advertising icon and rake in millions.”
In an interview with the “Münchner Abendzeitung”, Nick complained about her guest. So Pooth “went off,” hiding first in the toilet and later in the dressing room. She also rudely asked Nick’s team to “stop the recording devices.”
“If you’re invited to a podcast, you should have listened to at least one episode in advance to know what to expect stylistically,” complains Nick. Verona “definitely didn’t do that.” It was she who had the idea “that we should promote each other.” It was probably planned that Nick would first be a guest on Pooth’s podcast and later vice versa. But nothing came of it.
Nick would have liked the conversation to have gone differently: “If there had at least been an exchange of blows, but no, she literally pissed off after the intro. And dishonestly with the excuse: ‘I have to for little girls.'”
Nick also teased in an interview with the “Abendzeitung” that she had “got along fabulously without Verona for 40 years” and that she would “do the same in the future.” Verona Pooth has not yet told her side of things.
