The donuts are one of the recipes that has more and more followers and is positioned as an alternative to bills for the snack. Many people remember them or have them in mind from seeing them in American series and movies on television or in the movies.

  • In another boat, beat the eggs and then add the warm milk, melted butter and vanilla essence. Mix well.

  • Pour the mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until you have a homogeneous mass. Some kneading may be necessary to achieve a smooth consistency.

  • Cover the dough with a clean, damp cloth and let it rest in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until the dough has doubled in size.

  • Knead the dough on a floured surface and roll it out with a rolling pin until it is approximately 1 cm thick.

  • With a donut cutter or two different cutters (one larger for the outside shape and one smaller for the hole in the center), cut out the donuts and place them on a floured tray.

  • Cover the donuts with a cloth and let them rise again for about 15-20 minutes.

  • Heat enough oil in a deep frying pan about 180°C.

  • Fry the donuts in batches until golden brown on both sides. This takes approximately 1-2 minutes per side.

  • Remove fried donuts and place them on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.

  • For the coverage, you can sprinkle icing sugardip them in melted chocolate or roll them in a cinnamon and sugar mixture.
